Kurt Piazza is a multi-media artist working primarily in large-scale paintings, video, installation, and digital images, incorporating elements of layering, and employing the principles of architecture in order to explore the emotive, memory, the seen and the unseen.
He has exhibited his work both regionally and nationally, including Art Basel, Miami Beach, as well as the Conley Gallery at the University of California at Fresno. He had his first solo exhibition, THE FUTURE BELONGS TO GHOSTS in 2011 at Gallery 114 at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida. He had his most recent solo exhibition in 2013 at the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. TOWARDS THE EDGE OF THE VISIBLE, a site-specific sound installation created for the Morean Arts Center, with an accompanying video and related digital prints.
Kurt Piazza is a graduate of the University of South Florida, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media. He resides in Clearwater, Florida.
